With the closing day in sight, our buyers and sellers are happy with us and promise to send lots of referrals. We want to thank them for using us as their Real Estate professional so we’ll buy a gift that will remind them how much they mean to us.
First off, it’s important to note a closing gift is not a requirement. I have had many closings where I didn’t give any kind of gift. Think about it, does your attorney send you gifts? Your dentist? The free toothbrush doesn’t count…Professionals aren’t required or obligated to give a closing gift, but it has become a common occurrence.
So let’s look at the top 5 closings gifts that you could give your clients, in no particular order.
The Top 5…
- A Custom Gift
Etsy is filled with unique and custom gifts that you could have made for your customers. Whether it’s a blanket with a picture of their house on it, a canvas piece of art, or a handmade item for their use in their new home, the options are endless.
- Cutlery
Yep, you can get cutlery, aka big knives, with your name and info engraved on it. Cutco is famous for this and gives plenty of options for different price budgets.
- A Return Address Stamper
If they have a new address, chances are they’d love a new return address stamper. These are affordable as well and can be purchased one at a time as needed. Check one out here.
- A Home Buyer Journal
Buying a home, especially your first can be an overwhelming experience. This home buyer journal is perfect for people to take notes and keep important information such as paint colors and dates of appliance purchases noted.
